Plan and implement a full-day, year-round, developmentally appropriate lesson plans, the inclusion of theme-related material, and rotation of toys and equipment on a regular basis. Provide a safe, responsive, stimulating environment by actively engaging oneself in daily activities and routines. Form and maintain a professional relationship with parents and families. Assess all areas of development of children using Illinois State Learning Standards. Develop and manage a portfolio for each child. Conduct two parent-teacher conferences per year with each family.


Required Qualifications:

Associate degree in Early Childhood Education, preferred. Minimum of 60 hours of college level course work with 6 credit hours directly related to Early Childhood Education, or a directly related field.

Ability to pass a background check and proof of immunizations.

Assist the Lead Teacher in planning weekly themes, lesson plans, and daily activities. Observe, record, and assess each child’s individual growth and development. Maintain a safe, healthy environment for children at all times, Actively engage children in daily activities and routines. Ensure compliance with all Illinois Department of Children and Family Services rules and regulations.

Required Qualifications:

At least 18 years of age.

High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Develop menus and prepare meals that adhere to nutritional guidelines for young children. Maintain clean and sanitary food preparations areas. Keep record of fresh ingredients to help minimize food waste.
